Tom Cross dropped dead Sunday afternoon at 2:30 while talking to some friends in front of Bill Wray's store. He had been suffering from high blood pressure and had told several parties in the past few weeks he was liable to pass at any time.
Mr. Cross was a native of Clinton County, and a brother of Edgar Cross of Susie. He was a carpenter and had worked here for several years at different times. His mother died at Susie a few weeks ago at age 95. He is survived by five children. His remains were taken to Clinton County for burial.
