Mrs. Jacqueline V (Vanderau) White, 53, wife of Robert G. White, Develin and Wilson roads, Phoenixville RD 2, died Monday in University of Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia, shortly after she was admitted.
Mrs. White, who was a chemical research supervisor at the University of Pennsylvania, was stricken while at work and taken to the hospital which is located near the campus.
Born in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of Val Edward Vanderau, Chambersburg, and the late Sally Vanderau.
Mrs. White, a resident of the Phoenixville area 15 years, graduated in 1943 from Wilson College, and took post graduate courses at Rutgers University.
she was a supervisor of the chemical analytical laboratory of the Laboratory for the Research on the Structure of Matter at University of Pennsylvania.
Mrs. White wrote several articles on waste treatment, and was a member of the American Chemical Society and the American Power Society.
Surviving with her husband and father is a son, Edward Val, St. Louis, Mo.
Charles Gutkowski Funeral Home, Nutt Road and Starr Street, is in charge of arrangements.
