Benjamin Lee Brewer, 62, of Altamont, went to his Heavenly Home for Christmas on Friday, December 25 2009.

Born in Mitchell County on April 16 1947, he was the son of Ralph Henry Brewer and Ethel Pauline Gouge.

He attended Stamey Town Missionary Baptist Church, and was a Sunday School teacher. He served in the United States Army and was a lifetime member of VFW Post 4286. He worked for Huntington & Guerry Electric for over 25 years. Ben loved being outdoors- hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening.

Ben is survived by the family he loved so dearly: his wife, two sons, two granddaughters, five siblings and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by many dear friends.

Services were held at 2 P.M. Sunday, December 27th, at Stamey Town Missionary Baptist Church. Burial followed at Stamey Town Cemetery.
