Sherrie Ann Anderson Chournos, 65, passed away Monday, May 6, 2013, at Willow Glen Health & Rehab in Brigham City, Utah.
She was born March 28, 1948, the eldest daughter of six children to Arlow Conley and Fontella Hansen Anderson. Sherrie married Johnnie Kay Chournos on Jan. 28, 1972, in Tremonton, Utah. They were sealed March 25, 1974, in the Logan LDS Temple. She spent her childhood in Elwood, attending Elwood Elementary and Bear River High School. She attended Utah State University. Sherrie worked in the school lunch program for 20 years, she later went on to work at many convenience stores. She loved working with the public and met many friends.
She is survived by one son, Dugan Johnnie Chournos; one grandson, Jax Johnnie Chournos; twin brother Gary Lynn (Nan) Anderson of Plymouth, Utah; sister Connie Rae (Cody) Roche of Elwood, Utah; sister-in-law Jean Anderson of Torrance, Calif.; seven nieces and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her husband Johnnie; parents; brothers Clarence, Ephraim and Reed; sister-in-law Roxie Ann Anderson; and brother-in-law Chad Lane Pierce.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2013, at Myers Mortuary chapel, 205 S. 100 East in Brigham City. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Mortuary. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
