Because of his love of hunting & animals, he participated as a National Field Trial judge throughout the United States and was the owner of a National Field Trial Champion, a black lab named JK. A devoted duck hunter and conservationist, he rarely missed an opportunity to go to his farm and pursue his passion. He married Debra D. Beavers on April 26th, 1976, and perished with her in the same tragedy. An active member of Fairview Christian Church, he and his wife renewed their vows in 2006 with family and friends.
A quiet man of honor, he could always be counted on to help a friend or family member.
