Ione E. McBride, 83, died Tuesday, April 30,2013 at her home in South Hutchinson, Ks. She was born February 22, 1930 in rural Nickerson, Ks., the daughter of William and Cynthia Johnson Bartlett.
A 1947 graduate of Hutchinson High School, she was a receptionist and bookkeeper for Dr. John Blank, Bell Credit Union and the Royal Inn Motel. She was a member of the South Hutchinson United Methodist Church, Women of the Moose, Reno County Ks. Amateur Radio Association, Kadiddlehopper Amateur Radio Club and was a charter member of The Hutchinson Water Sports Club.
On May 18, 1947 she married Herbert McBride in Turon, Ks. He died March 21, 2001.
Ione is survived by; her children, Debby McBride Brown, Parkville, MO, Jacque Holloway and husband Randy, Wichita, and Ronald McBride, Hutchinson; grandchildren, Danny (Melissa) Miller, David Miller, Jacob(Jana)Troyer, Tiffanie McBride, Renea(Doug)Anderson, James McBride, Hannah Powell and great grandchildren, Macie Miller, Lauren Miller, Zane Clune, Avery Kellogg, Nova Laughlin, Lucas, Jacob, Toby and Matt Anderson, Elyssia Page, Jaceylyn and Judah Troyer.
She was preceded in death by; daughter, Linda Powell; great-grandchild, Zacheriah Anderson; son-in-law, Garry Brown; and two brothers, Donald and Wesley Bartlett.
Funeral Service was held 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 4, 2013 at South Hutchinson United Methodist Church with Pastor Warren Hett presiding. Burial at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.
