Mrs. Frances Lax, died at her home in Narka, December 20th at the age of 69 years. She was born in Bohemia in 1841 coming to America in 1856 settling in Wisconsin.
In 1863 she was united in marriage to Vencil Fisher. In 1869 she was again united in marriage to Anton Lax, three children were born to this union, one died in infancy.
In 1872 the family moved to Kansas and settled in Republic County. Mrs, Lax has been in poor health for some time and recently suffered a stroke of paralysis which caused her death.
Funeral services were held at the home. Interment was in National Cemetery south of Narka, Kansas.
