Mrs. Margaret B. Turan (86) passed away on her birthday Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Whitesburg Gardens. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years W. J. Turan and a grandson Jeremiah Brown.
She is survived by one son Kevin Turan (Debra) of Vinemont, AL; one daughter Vickie Turan of Toney; 3 grandchildren- Clint Smith of Toney, Felicia Brown and Toni Payne (Jacob) of Cullman; and 4 great-grandchildren-Kobe, Ty, Kaden, and Kayla.
Margaret loved arts and crafts and working with her hands which she was very good at. She will most be remembered for her cooking skills-especially her green dressing, fried chicken and cat-head biscuits! She will be dearly loved and missed by many people!
You may visit with the family on Thursday from 6-8pm at Valhalla Funeral Home. There will be a chapel funeral service held on Friday, May 10, 2013 at Valhalla at 11am with Rev. P. J. Jenkins officiating. Entombment will immediately follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens Chapel of Peace mausoleum.
