Frances Shara, daughter of Wesley and Frances Belik Kvasnicka was born April 12, 1879 in Vintirov, Czecho-slovakia and died in the Greenwood nursing home in Fairbury NE., December 16, 1967.

She came to America with her parents, three brothers and one sister when she was one. The family first settled near Wilber, NE. and later moved to a farm near Narka, KS. where she grew to womanhood.

She was married to William Shara March 27, 1901 and they started housekeeping on a farm near Narka, KS. where they lived until 1914 when they moved into Narka. For the last four years she has made her home in the nursing home. She was the mother of six children.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Elmina; parents and one sister and four brothers.

Survivors include her husband of the home; five children, Mrs. Charles Hardenburger, Mrs. Floyd Durst, Mrs. Carl E. Donovan, John J. Shara and Leonard W. Shara; 12 grand-children; 21 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Al, Ed, and Charles.

Memorial services were held at the Presbyterian Church.
Interment was in National Cemetery south of Narka, Kansas.
