Surviving are a daughter, Cynthia ; two sons, David and Jerold ; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several beloved step-children and two nephews.
William was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He graduated from Springfield High School and was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Eagles Club and DAV. He retired from Western Auto where he was a mechanic.
Burial will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
