James E. Parden, 58, of Amarillo died Tuesday, May 7, 2013.

Memorial services will be at 6 p.m. Thursday in Country Church Amarillo College East Campus 2512 Ave. J, near the old Air Force Base, with the Rev. Ray Milhone officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.

James was born Jan. 3, 1955, in Amarillo to Livingston Clyde and Vernice Mae Parden. He was a transport driver who enjoyed his job and visiting with those he met. James was a wonderful cook and baker and he could even sew better than a lot of women. He was a very generous individual, always giving of himelf. He loved to reach out to those in need.

He was preceded in death by his entire family.

Survivors include his brothers and sisters of the heart, Oscar Murillo, Bill and Paulette Foshee, Janice Gerdes, Marie and Ike Foshee and Tommy and Lee Wagner of Vega; a close friend, Dolly; and many other loving friends.

The family suggests memorials be to a favorite
charity; or Country Church
of Amarillo.
