Clarence Leonard Baker, 92, of Amarillo died Tuesday, May 7, 2013.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Memory Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Corky Holland officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.

Clarence was born July 22, 1920, in Clayton, N.M., to Clarence Grover and Anna Dell Wagner Baker, who were ranchers in the Clayton region. Clarence had two brothers, Billy Bryan and Joe Bob. He married Mildred Christine McKee on June 23, 1946, in Clayton. He and "Millie" then moved to Kent, Wash., where Clarence was employed by Boeing Aircraft until the time of his retirement with 30 years of service. They returned to Clayton, purchased and operated the Clayton Package Liquor Store, which they
eventually sold before moving to Amarillo.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Millie; a brother, Bill; and his parents.

Survivors include his brother, Joe Bob and wife Pat of Amarillo and their children, Joe Pat, Kerri Lynne and Michael Everett; and Bill's children, Bill Jr., Diana, Randy, Kathy and Hollye.

The family would like to express their thanks to the Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice staff for their care and concern for Clarence.

The family suggests memorials be to assist patients at Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center, in care of Don & Sybil Harrington Cancer Foundation, 1600 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo TX 79106; or American Heart Association, 6605 West Interstate 40, Suite 6-A, Amarillo, TX 79106; or a favorite charity.
