HILDEBRAND, Lawrence Clair, 90, of Clearwater, formerly of Pittsburgh and Butler went to be with the Lord May 1, 2013. Born July 10, 1922 in Rural Ridge, PA, he was the son of Jesse Jay Hildebrand and Cora Marshall Hildebrand. He was a graduate of Springdale High School and The University of Pittsburgh. He retired from Servi-Star Hardware in management capacities. He was on the board of Red Cross, United Way, YMCA, and the Butler Country Club. He belonged to the Keystone Squares Western Square Dance Club, member of MENSA, V.F.W. and The American Legion. He was a First Lieutenant Navigator in WWII serving with 392 Bomb Group, 576 Squadron, 8th Air Force, 2nd Air Division flying out of England. Active in OTOW activities and was an avid golfer. Surviving are his wife, Rosemarie Fleming Hildebrand; two daughters, Laureen Stehle and Carol Boulanger; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were a daughter, Denise Cristine Hildebrand, a sister, Grace Cabo and a brother, Jesse Guy Hildebrand. Visitation will be 10-11 am, Thursday May 9, 2013 at Bible Baptist Church, Palm Harbor, where services will begin at 11 am. Burial will follow in the Sarasota National Cemetery.
