Abel Sizer Pierson married Ruth C. Clark in Madison County, New York. [See parents record of their son Abraham E. Pierson's 22 Dec 1890 marriage at Montcalm, Michigan.] Abel and Ruth had four children, all born in Madison County, NY. The family is recorded in an 1850 Census at Nelson Twp, Portage County, Ohio under the surname "Pearson". Abraham E. Pierson is recorded in that census as "Abel", age 14, (born 1836).

Abel Sizer Pierson cared for his parents on the Pierson family homestead in Nelson Twp. Madison County, NY and inherited the farm after his father, Capt.Joseph Pierson died on 14 Feb 1822.

Abel S. Pierson and Ruth C. Clark married circa 1824/1825. After the death of his mother, Sarah (Sizer) Pierson, on 16 Dec 1841, Abel Sizer Pierson sold the farm and moved his family to Ohio. His parents are buried in Rural Nelson Cemeterya in Nelson, Madison County, New York.

[Death of Abel Sizer Pierson] Abel S. Pierson's death in Sep 1869, at Marysville, Paris Twp, Union, Ohio, was recorded in "Ohio County Death Records: 1840-2001" as "Abel S. Pierson, residence Marysville, Ohio, age 75, birth year est 1794 NY. Died of old age, marital status: widowed."

No record of burial found, however, it is likely the "Abel C. Pierson" reported in F/A/G ID#153361353, Plot Sec E, is Abel Sizer Pierson. Creator of memorial Brenda, record added on Oct 6, 2015 "Abel C. Pierson, born 1794, died 1869, was moved 6/15/1888 to Oakdale Cemetery, Marysville. Birth year is an estimate based on age of 75 at time of death per cemetery records." An email from Brenda reports he was moved from Marysville Old City Cemetery and no burials remain there.

Note: Abel Sizer Pierson's son, Albert C. Pierson, is buried in Oakdale Cemetery, F/A/G ID #61559015. This cemetery has some unmarked graves. Since no record was found for Abel S. Pierson's wife, Ruth C. (Clark) Pierson, it is assumed she died in Marysville and was buried in Old City Cemetery. No
graves remained there after 1888 removals to Oakdale. [1850 Census: Ruth C. (Clark) Pierson, age 48 (est 1802) born in Connecticut.]

[They are listed in an October 1850 census noted above and in an 1860 census taken at Susquehanna, PA: Albert C. Pierson, wife Sarah A. and children Josephine, 9
