Doyle ‘Skinny' Carroll, 66, of Chatsworth passed away on Monday, May 6, 2013.
Skinny enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, and tinkering with antique cars.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Pam Carroll; parents, Roy & Dollie Carroll; brothers, Fred, Leon, Robert, and Dennis Carroll; and sisters, Betty Smith and Louise Williams.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Carroll; sons and daughter-in-law, Edward Carroll, Lee Carroll, and Tony & Melea Carroll – all of Chatsworth; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa & Paul Taylor of Blue Field, WV; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne & Linda Carroll of Chatsworth and Grady & Ruby Carroll of LaFayette; sisters, Reba Hamerick of Chatsworth, Ruby Byers of Dalton, and Nancy Griggs of Dalton; grandchildren, Crystal Wheat, Amanda Akins, Amanda Carroll, Kayla Carroll, Wesley Taylor, Zackary Taylor, and Christopher Carroll; six great-grandchildren; nephew, Michael Carroll; and many other extended family members.
Funeral services for Mr. Carroll will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Spring Place Cemetery. The family will receive friends for an hour before the funeral.
