William Bainbridge KENNEDY was born in Brown County, OH, Oct 16, 1822.He moved to Fulton Co, IL in 1848 and in 1855 came with a wagon train of relatives to Douglas County, Kansas. Capt. Kennedy was connected with the Kansas Free-State cause and participated in the battles of Franklin, Fort Saunders, Fort Titus and other events of the time. He was in Lawrence, Kansas at the time of Quantrill's Raid. He married Elizabeth CURLESS in Fulton Co, IL on March 21, 1847. [Information extracted from William G.
