Louise Anderson Arave, 95, of Idaho Falls, died January 27, 2003, at her home.

She was born October 3, 1907 in Shelley, to Christian Anderson and Martha Christensen Anderson. She grew up and attended schools in Shelley, graduating from Shelley High School. She later graduated from Ricks College in Rexburg.

On December 8, 1927, she married Lyman A. Arave in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. She was a mother, homemaker, and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and was chosen Shelley's Mother of the Year in 1984.

An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in numerous callings including Primary President, Relief Society President and Stake Relief Society President. Her hobbies included drapery making, clock repairs, sewing, ceramics, making porcelain dolls, quilting, weaving rugs and raising peacocks.

Surviving: 7 children, 2 sisters-in-law [names deleted], 33 grandchildren, 74 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her husband, three sons, a daughter-in-law, a son-in-law, three sisters, eight brothers, one grandson-in-law, and three great grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held on Friday, January 31, 2003, at the Idaho Falls LDS Sunnyside 1st Ward, 3721 Shadow Mountain Trail.
