She was born 1921 in Rockwood, Pa daughter of Dennis and Edith Marker. She was a member of the Masury Methodist Church. She resided in the Mahoning Valley area until 2001 at which time she moved to Heath, Ohio to be closer to her sons and their families.
She attended the Marker Elementary School that her father had founded, graduated from High School in Rockwood, Pa & married John Riley September 29, 1940. She was married to John for 55 years until his passing in 1996, raised two sons & was a loving and devoted wife & mother. Wilma was a warm and caring person. Among the many blessings in her life her greatest joys were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She delighted in hearing about their lives as well as making delicious Sunday dinners for them. Additionally she worked outside the home and was a forerunner of women's rights in the workplace.
She was preceded in death by her second son Frank Dennis Riley who passed last year, her husband John Riley, one brother Paul Marker; and six sisters Blanche Kimmell, Marie Mosholder, Gladys Henry, Eva McClintock, Dorothy Marker, and Thelma McLean.
She is survived by her first son John Douglas Riley (Nancy) of Thornville, Oh; five grandchildren Jennifer Mills (Stephen), Kimberly Hoffman (Richard), Brad Riley (Susan), David Riley (Beth), Jeff Riley; and 10 Great Grandchildren Johnnie, Meghan, Abigail, Ella, Leah, Logan, Layne, Regan, Kyla and Kole as well as many great-nephews & great-nieces.
Wilma will be entombed at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Hermitage, PA alongside her late husband John.
