Judith Challie Barrett, 71, of Mount Pleasant, SC died Thursday, June 2, 2011. Judith "Judy" was born October 18, 1939 in Fayetteville, NC, the daughter of the late James C. and Estelle (Parham) Barrett.
She attended Moultrie High School.
Judy cherished her life as a mother and homemaker retiring from the Piggly Wiggly Corporation. She was known affectionately as "Miss Judy" by many of her customers at the Sea Island Piggly Wiggly whose day she always brightened.
Mrs. Barrett will be deeply missed by: her son, Michael Barrett of Goose Creek, SC; two granddaughters, Jessica and Abigail Barrett; her brother Larry Barrett of Isle of Palms, SC; and four nieces and two nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother James C. Barrett. Jr. and her sister Norma Barrett Byrne.
There will be a Memorial Service 11AM, Saturday June 11, 2011 at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1520 Rifle Range Rd., Mount Pleasant, SC 29464; (843) 884-3833.
