Zelma's adult life can be summed up as a faithful wife, mother, grandmother, and one who loved our Lord Jesus Christ above all things. She passed on to her family her unwavering love for the Lord so that they may all together be rewarded by Him-as even today, she hears the Words of Him who keeps her close, "Now there is in store for you the crown of righteousness…"
Zelma was preceded in death by her parents: Tom and Sarah Haley; her brothers: Seibert, Loy, Eldon, Sandy, Tom, and Faye Haley; one sister: Ruby Tabor; two grandchildren: Rachel and Rebecca Cicero.
Cherishing her memory are one brother: Hollis (Kaye) Haley of Little Rock, son: Clay (Kathy) Johnson of Coy; daughters: Sally (Larry) Cicero and Bobette (Chris) Hallum all of England; six grandchildren: Marlana Johnson of Sheridan, Lance Johnson of Coy, Brad (Jessica) Cicero of Bryant, James (Christal) Cicero of Conway, Derek (Tara) Hallum of England, Justin (Leslie) Hallum of England; eleven cherished great-grandchildren: Rachel, Dominic, Deacon, Lex, Silas, Dylan, Jack, Thomas, Emily, Annabeth, and a new little one in September; a host of nieces and nephews who thought Aunt Zelma was the best; and her church family at England First Baptist.
The family would like to give a special thanks to all of Mrs. Johnson's caregivers at the England Nursing and Rehab facility. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Arkansas, 201 Markham Center Dr., Little Rock, Arkansas, 72205.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 A. M., Wednesday, May 8th, 2013 at the Mulberry Cemetery Chapel, Hwy. 256 south of England under the direction of Roller England Funeral Home, (501) 842-3939, with Reverend Robby Sherman officiating.
