Bill Harden, 82, of 502 E. 19th St., died May 4, 2013, at home. Harden was born in Robeson County on May 11, 1930.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Lillian Bennet Harden; his parents, June Harden and Mattie Watts-Harden; a nephew, Frank Kinlaw; and his siblings, Josephene Harden, Beulah Harden, John Harden, James Harden, Thelma Lois Harden, Minnie Lee Harden, Sudie Kinlaw, Nina Harden, Howard Harden, Linner Harden and Julius Harden.

He is survived by a daughter, Paula Strickland; two sisters, Della Mae Harden and Bessie Geneva Harden; two nephews, Mitchell Harden, Jr. and Bruce Kinlaw; a niece, Shelia Humphreys; two grandchildren, Santana Patterson and Triston Strickland; two great-grandchildren, Braden Patterson and Riley Patterson; his best friend, John Hodges; and two special friends, Bobby Stigers and Buddy Haggins.

A graveside service will be held at Meadowbrook Cemetery, Bro. James Carmichael officiating. Burial will follow immediately following the service. Arrangements are by Revels Funeral Home Lumberton.
