Fred J. Bruns, 77, St. Joseph, Mo., passed away Friday, April 22, 2005 at his residence.
Mr. Bruns was born March 28, 1928 in St. Joseph, where he was a lifelong resident.
He was a graduate of Christian Brothers High School and had attended the University of Kansas. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and was employed as a credit manager of Wire Rope Corp., retiring in 1989.
Fred married Dorothy Potts on May 15, 1953, in Cameron, Mo., she survives of the home.
Fred is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Rosa (Breitweg) Bruns; and daughter, Teresa Brumley.
Additional survivors include two sons, Eric Bruns, St. Joseph, and Pat Bruns, Waukee, Iowa; four daughters, Mary Marshall, Mobil, Ala.; Barbara Bruns, St. Joseph; Helen Smith, Glendale, Ariz.; Desi Bruns, St. Joseph; Sister, Rose Ann Seever, Idaho Falls, Idaho; son-in-law Ron Brumley; six grandchildren, Elliott Bruns, Burgandy Ideker, Anthony Smith, Erika Smith, Zack Stroud, Luke Karmann; one great-grandchild, Gayvn Greve, two nieces, Vicky and Sandy Seever.
Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery.
