Marvin H. Morrow Sr.

Plattsburgh - Mr. Marvin H. "Marvelous Marvin" Morrow Sr., 69, of Twin Circle, Plattsburgh, passed away Sunday, Oct. 5, 2003, at the residence of his friend Bernice Cressey.

He was born in Saranac Lake, N.Y., on July 17, 1934, the son of Herbert and Stella (Blair) Morrow.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving from 1951 to 1955. Marvin had been stationed in Biloxi, Mississippi and Newfoundland.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 20 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 125.

Marvin enjoyed fishing, gardening, woodworking, but most importantly spending time with his grandchildren.

Marvin was the youngest of 15 children.

He was predeceased by five brothers, who were killed in action during World War II; his parents; and several sisters, as well. He was also predeceased by his companion's son, Donald Cressey.

He is survived by his daughter, Audex Gay of Oregon; his son, Marvin Morrow Jr. and his companion Susan Terry of West Chazy; his grandson, Tanner "Butch" Morrow of West Chazy; his companion of many years, Bernice Cressey of Plattsburgh; two brothers, Frederick Morrow of Saranac Lake and Vernon Morrow of Bloomingdale; a sister, Edna MacDowell of Saranac Lake; his companion's children and grandchildren; David and Bonnie Cressey of Yulee, Fla., Dawn and Nelson Willey of Maryland, Bonnie and David South of Plattsburgh, Keith and Dawn Cressey of Plattsburgh and nine other grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive him.

At Marvin's request there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Peasleeville Cemetery.

Arrangements are by the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh.
