A 1910 graduate of Willamette University, Mrs. Nora Emmel Forbes, 85, died at her home, 534 SW Bancroft, Friday. She had been a Portland resident for 17 years.
A memorial service for Mrs. Forbes will be Sunday at 12:30 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church, with private committal in Riverview Cemetery Crematorium.
Mrs. Forbes was an active member of the YWCA, the First Presbyterian Church, American Association of University Women and the Urban League.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. George G. Forbes, a son, David Thompson, a daughter, Mrs. Alemeda Esther Cronemiller, and Esther Gillette, and five grandchildren.
