MOUNT STERLING - Ida Mae Patton, 99, of Mount Sterling, formerly of Timewell, died Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Mount Sterling.

She was born July 29, 1905, in Lee Township, the daughter of William F. and Ida Mae Carpenter Davis. She married Robert S. Patton in 1927 in Mount Sterling; he died in 1981.

Mrs. Patton graduated from Timewell High School in 1923. She farmed with her husband for more than 40 years.

She was a member of Mount Sterling United Methodist Church, past member of WSCS of the Mount Sterling Methodist Church and the Timewell American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors: two sons, Robert L. (wife, Eloise) Patton of Timewell and Richard A. (wife, Rosalie) Patton of Mount Sterling; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

Services: 2 p.m. Sunday, Hendricker Funeral Home, Mount Sterling, the Rev. Bob Einhouse officiating. Burial: Mounds Cemetery near Timewell.
