Warren Calvin "Bud" Lawton, 89, resident of 706 Brooks St. widower of Lila Jean Bond Lawton died Wednesday Nov. 24, 2010 at Valley Nursing Center in Taylorsville, NC.
Born in Abbeville, SC he was a son of the late W.D. Lawton and Rosa Lee Lawton.
Bud was a World War II United States Army Veteran. He retired as a textile mechanic with Greenwood Mills, Matthew's Plant after many years of service.
Survivors include two sisters Ruby Link and Frances Leslie both of Abbeville, SC; twobrothers Morris Lawton of Hodges, SC and Clarence Lawton of Abbeville, SC.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday Nov. 26, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Chandler Chapel of Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home. The burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
The body is at the Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to services.
Memorials may be made in memory of Mr. Lawton to a charity of one's choice.
