"May 13, 1852
D In Chatham Co, on the 10th ult., Mr. Joshua ADCOCK, a Revolutionary soldier, in the 98th year of his age."
(Note: Joshua Adcock is also shown in the 1850 census for Chatham Co., N.C. (Upper Regiment) as being 93?? years of age. In his home were also Betsy Glover, 60, possibly a daughter, Anderson Glover--18, and Patsey Glover--21.)

Joshua's father's name is Edmond(d.1801 in Chatham Co.NC).His wife was Ailsey Hackney, daughter of Joseph Hackney.
Joshua's son Anderson P Adcock(b.abt1818 in Chatham Co,NC)is my grandfather. Anderson's daughter Martha Adcock is my grandmother, she died in Missippi. She married Edward Stewart in Chatham Co, NC.
Joshua Adcock's children as named in his will and estate settlement:
Sons: Edmund, John, Anderson P., Henry and William Adcock.
Daughters: Elizabeth Gee(b.1792) m. William Gee
Nancy Wallace(b.1796) m. William Wallace
Janie Wallace(b.1800) m. Warren Wallace
Dolly Myrick(b.1815) m. Alvis Myrick
