Jeanie was born on May 12, 1938, the daughter of Alfred Alexander and Pansy Fern (Terry) Neel in the Lowrey Area of Cherokee County. She passed peacefully from this life on Saturday, May 4, 2013, after an extended illness. She attended Lowrey Elementary School, and was a graduate of Tahlequah High. She married Thestain Eugene Branch in Oklahoma City at the 7th Street Church of Christ on August 16, 1957. A Homemaker and Mother, she loved flower gardening and jigsaw puzzles.
Preceding her in death are her husband Thestain; her parents Pansy and Alfred Neel; and a brother Danny Alfred Neel.
Surviving her are her daughters Joy L. Martin and husband N. Dean of Tahlequah, OK; and Vicki Johnson and husband Richard L. Of Peggs, OK; grandsons David L. Johnson and wife Melissa of Hulbert, OK, and Wesley D. Martin and wife Kaitlin of St. Louis, MO; great grandchildren Abigail and Jerram Martin also of St. Louis; three sisters Christine Woods of Yukon, OK , Dalphine Potts of Keys, OK, and Sandra Hutchins and husband Gilbert of Lowrey Community near Tahlequah, OK; 13 nieces and nephews, many other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
