Marla was born September 29, 1954, in Kermit, Texas. She graduated in 1973 from Midland Senior High School. After having several jobs in the oil industry, she finally found a job she truly loved and enjoyed: working for Clayton Williams Energy.
Marla may have lived a short life, but she made an impact on all those around her. She enjoyed life to the fullest and spread that joy wherever she was. Always laughing, she could lift anyone's spirits. She was a wonderful friend to anyone that needed one. She was also an incredibly selfless and loving mother and a terrific daughter. Social by nature, she loved chatting and cutting up with friends and family whenever possible.
The family wishes to extend thanks to all those who supported Marla and her family during her struggle with her brain tumor. The love and support of her fellow employees, close personal friends and the exemplary care of all the hospital staff made her last months with us a memory to treasure forever. Sadly, Marla will be missed but will remain in our hearts and be with us always.
The family will receive friends at Ellis Funeral Home between the hours of 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. today.
