Funeral services for James Crews Armistead, 57, of Demopolis, who died Saturday in a Birmingham hospital, will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Cook & Spigener Funeral Home, with Rev. Roy Fenley and Rev. Jack Compton officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Emogene Clements Armistead, Demopolis; three sons, Gene Crews Armistead, Escondido, Cal; Bruce Clements Armistead, New Orleans, LA; and Starkey Eppes Armistead, Demopolis; one daughter, Mrs. Sally Stanley, Mount Olive; his mother, Vera Compton Armistead, Demopolis; a brother, Sydney Earle Armistead, Jr., NM; a sister, Mrs. Lucy Barnes, Hatch, NM, and four grandchildren.
