WOMAN, TWO MEN INJURED IN CRASH

Mrs. Diller Stine in Hospital in Critical Condition

Three persons were injured, one of them critically, early this morning when the automobile in which they were riding ran off the road near Carlisle Springs, and crashing through a fence, upset in a field.

In an unconscious condition this afternoon at Carlisle Hospital was Mrs. Ada Stine, 42, wife of Diller Stine, 52 West Louther Street, who suffered a possible broken back and skull fracture. Her condition was such that physicians were unable to move her to take x-ray pictures.

Roy Wolf, 32, of 462 Fairground Street, the driver, and Carrol Darby, 29, of 5 North Pitt Street, escaped with slight injuries. Suffering chiefly from shock, Wolf was admitted to the hospital with lacerations of the head and legs. Darby was treated in the accident ward for brush burns of the legs.

The three were brought to the hospital by Charles Eckenrode, 8 1/2 East High Street, who drove up to the scene soon after the crash which occurred about 1:45 a.m.

The car shot from the Carlisle-New Bloomfield highway while taking a curve. Cause of the accident was being investigated today by the State Highway patrol.
