Mattie married James Allen Park and they had 9 children together. Mattie was an artist and a follower of Mary Baker Eddy. Hoping to be cured of tuberculosis she took a train to a healing meeting in Chicago, but arriving to late, she missed the convocation and died in Chicago at the home of her sister, Mrs. B.F. McKee.
Mattie is buried in a family plot purchased 02/03/1896 by J.A. & C.A. Boggs,B.F. McKee, A.A. Davis and Allen Park. There's no headstone on this plot.
