Othel Geneva (West) Alford, 86, of Bryant, went to be with the Lord peacefully at home, Wednesday, September 11, 2002. She was very devoted to her family and church. Her love, prayers, and hugs will be greatly missed and cherished by her family and friends. She was a member of First Pentecostal Church in North Little Rock.

Othel was born June 30, 1916 in Yell County, Arkansas to Calvin and Annie West. She was married to Carl Lee Alford for 64 years and they had seven children.

She is preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Carl E. Alford and C.W. Alford; one grandchild; one great-grandchild; three brothers; and two sisters.

She is survived by her daughters and faithful sons-in-law, Bea and Don Hale (Bryant), Janice Richards (Daytona Beach, Florida), Connie Alford (Bryant), Geneva and Virgil Healey (Jacksonville), Dianne and Dale Meriweather (Sherwood); brother, Lee West and sister, Dee Johnston (Edmond, Oklahoma); 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. J.N. Holmes officiating. Burial will be at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 10411 W. Markham, Suite #130, Little Rock, AR 72205-1409. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main, 758-1170….
