Bennie Larry Gill, Sr., age 69, a native of Wilcox County, AL and a longtime resident of Mobile, AL passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at a local hospital. He retired after more than 30 years in the Marine/Industrial Insulation Industry. He was once a member of Athelstan Masonic Lodge #369 F. & A.M. and a lifelong enthusiastic Alabama Football Fan. He greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing and automobile racing.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Susan Green Gill, one daughter, Deborah Gill Lowery, six brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Linda Dixon Gill, 2 daughters, Theresa Indelicato, Angela (Steve) Powell, 2 sons, Bennie Larry Gill, Jr. and James Drew Gill, 1 sister, Grace Eddins, 1 brother, Cliff Gill, 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 6, 2013 at 2 pm from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5 to 8 pm Sunday evening at the funeral home. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens.
