Delores Maxine Kirkham Bedwell was my great aunt. The oldest of nine siblings born to Cecil Leon and Merril Faye Lake Kirkham. She was great at just about everything she did. She helped raise her younger siblings and loved her family very much. She loved to quilt and having seen some of her quilts, she was fantastic at it because they are pieced together beautifully. She loved genealogy and had so much traced and wrote down, I am blessed enough to have her notes and photos, to continue her work. She married my uncle Cliff on March 1, 1952 and they had two children and a granddaughter. Her and Clifford were married for 49 wonderful years. She volunteered with the Salvation Army and Terre Town school where her daughter taught Kindergarten. My aunt Maxine was such an inspiring woman to me. I only wish I could have known her better than what I do.
