Elsie Richardson Obermeyer was born on March 15, 1930 to parents J.P. and Rose (Nickolai) Richardson. She was born in Park City, Utah and raised on the western slope of Colorado. Elsie used to say she was a Colorado native who had the misfortune to be born elsewhere.

Elsie lived in numerous foster homes before settling with Gladys and Albert Allen in Parachute, Colorado. On August 21, 1955 she married Irvin Obermeyer. Irvin passed in 2004 after 48 years of marriage. She is also pre-deceased by son Michael Christian, stepson Allen and two brothers and one sister.

Elsie was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church for more than 50 years.

Elsie enjoyed attending Tuesday morning ladies' Bible Study at Ascension and was a member of the Danish Sisterhood. Elsie will be remembered for her witty sense of humor and her devotion to family and friends.
