Mary Loretta Brake 82, of Fort Smith, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born December 16, 1930 in Fort Smith, to the late Frank and Estella Koshak. Mary was a loving mother and grandmother along with being a true and loyal friend especially to Jackie Mitchael and Alene Hambright. Charter member of Haven Heights Baptist Church, former W.M.U. President, and Sunday School Teacher for 32 years, in the choir for 40 years, helped organize Bereavement Meals and was a seamstress. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton R. Brake, sons, Frank and Joe Brake and granddaughter, Nicole Brake. Survivors include her daughter, Marilyn Conner and husband Willie of Fort Smith, son, Donnie Brake and wife Aquilla of Burleson, Texas, and sister, Wanda James of Spiro, OK, brother, Frank Taylor Jr of Spiro, OK, ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Haven Heights Baptist Church with interment at the U.S. National Cemetery Fort Smith, Ar. Pallbearers will be Cason, Cody, and Willie Conner, Sebastian Brake, Dave Lovegrove and Lee Henderson. Family will receive friends Tuesday, 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Chapel, Fort Smith, Ar.
