Thomas A."Tony" Hessman,71 died July 19,1984 at Howell,KS as the result of a tractor/train accident. Born Oct. 7, 1912 in ford county to Frank J. and Matilda(Nuce) Hessman, he married Wilma "Billie" Tenbrink on Jan.27,1949 at Dodge City,KS. He was a retired farmer and stockman and been a lifetime resident of Dodge City area.

He was a World War II Army veteran and received the Purple Heart. He was a member of Sacred Heart Cathedral, Knights of Columbus, VFW, American Legion all of Dodge City.

Survivors are wife of the home, son Steve, daughters, L'Jean Dixon of Kinsley,Sue Gier of Dodge City; brothers, Harry, George, Fred, Ben all of Dodge City; Jim of Los Angeles; sister, Ann Aubuchon of Festus, Mo.; nine grandchildren.
