COLOMA - Elizabeth Evett Hafer Clements, 56, passed away peacefully at her residence, Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012.
A service celebrating her life will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma, where visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Cremation will take place following the service. Donations in memory of Elizabeth may be made to the Lawrence High School Scholarship Fund c/o of the funeral home. Elizabeth was born Feb. 19, 1956, in Watervliet to Lorn Franklin and Mary Sue (Owens) Clements. She was a teacher for Lawrence Public Schools for 20 years, teaching fifth and sixth grade social studies. She was also active at the school in Girls on the Run, Modern Mothers Club, and created Adopt a Pilot program.
Survivors include her daughter, Lori Evett of Coloma; her son, Michael (Morgan) Evett of Indianapolis; three brothers, Robert (Tammy) Clements of Auburn, Ind., David (Debbie) Clements of Jacksonville, Ore., and Paul (Dorla) Clements of Waterloo, Ind. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Joshua, Destiny and Morgan Motry, Madison and Makenzie Evett; special nieces and nephews; and her special friends at Lawrence Public Schools.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
