Athol – Tracy A. (Dwyer) Wheeler, 45, of 177 Lake Street died Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at the Athol Memorial Hospital after being suddenly stricken ill at her work.

Tracy was born in Leominster, Massachusetts, August 27, 1965, the daughter of Robert and Anna (Miller) Dwyer, Sr. She grew up in Leominster, attending Leominster High School and for the past 4 years has resided in Athol.

She worked at Pexco in Athol for the past seven years. Tracy enjoyed seasonal camping at Peaceful Pines, going to the beach, especially Salisbury and Hampton. She was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan, never missing a game, but most especially liked spending time with her 11 grandchildren. While living in Leominster she was a member of the Joanett's Drum and Bugle Corp and was also a member of the Royal Cadet and Bugle Corp in Gardner where she and her husband met 17 years ago. Tracy also enjoyed growing flowers, cucumbers, sewing and puzzles.

She leaves her husband Warren W. Wheeler; her children, Aandrea Palmer of Leominster, Guy Palmer, Jr. of Gardner, Rebecca LeRay and her husband Jason of East Templeton, Wendy Allain and her husband Dann of Worcester, Hope Greening and her husband Patrick of Maynard; her mother, Anna Dwyer of Gardner; a sister, Diane Brow of Gardner and 11 grandchildren. She also leaves a brother-in-law, Herbert Wheeler and his wife Colleen of Athol and a sister-in-law, Mary Carson and her husband Ernie of Swanzey, NH. She was predeceased by her father, Robert; brother, Robert Dwyer, Jr. and a sister, Audrey Leighton.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Higgins-O’Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main Street, Athol with Pastor Nicholas Morin of the Athol Four Squares Church officiating. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the Athol Four Squares Church, 400 Main Street, Athol, MA 01331.
