Macon, GA- Jerry Benjamin Rankin, 72, of Macon, died Friday, May 3, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM, Monday, May 6, 2013 at Mulberry Street United Methodist Church with the Reverend Tommy Mason officiating. Burial will be private at Riverside Cemetery. The family may be contacted at the residence and they will greet friends Sunday from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Care Options or Mulberry Street United Methodist Church Music Department, P.O. Box 149, Macon, GA 31202.
Mr. Rankin was a member of Mulberry Street United Methodist Church and the Joy Sunday School Class. He was also a member of the Optimist Club and the Porsche Club of America. After 47 years in the car business, he retired from Butler Lexus. Mr. Rankin had a passion for art, music and automobiles. He was the son of the late Max Jackson Rankin and the late Jewel Irby Rankin.
