A GOOD WOMAN PASSES
Death of Mrs. Catherine James Bullock
Correspondence of The Robesonian.
Fairmont, R. F. D. 1, Dec. 17— Mrs. Catherine James Bullock fell in peaceful sleep at her home near Fairmont Dec. 5, 1915. She was a faithful member of the Baptist church and was held in high esteem by all who knew her. She was born in Columbus county and twice married. Her first husband, Andrew Ashley, died during the war. To them were born five children, four of them still living, making seven children, a husband and a number of grand children to mourn their loss.
It would be hard to find a more loving and sympathetic wife. As a mothe she was loving, painstaking and sacrificing. Surely in her case the Scripture was fulfilled where it says, "but the path of the just is as a shining light that shineth more and more to the perfect day."
From the December 20, 1915 edition of The Robesonian.
