Wilmont P. Kane
BROOKLIN, Jan. 28 - Wilmont P. Kane, 70, died here Sunday.
He was born in Brooklin February 24, 1886, the son of Adelbert and Emma (Nutter) Kane. Mr. Kane was for several years tax collector of Brooklin. He was a member of the Brooklin IOOF and Rebekah lodges and the Bar Harbor Encampment. H attended the Brooklin church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Carrie Kane; two sons, Alton and Ruel Kane, both of Brooklin; three daughters, Mrs. Gwendolyn Hinckley of West Enfield, Mrs. Raymond Gray of Brooklin and Mrs. Eleanor Minuite of Madison, Wis., a sister, Mrs. Nellie Smith of Sedgwick; three grandsons, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held a 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Brooklin church, the Rev. Lewis Gesner officiating.
Bearers will be members of the IOOF lodge.
Burial will be in the Brooklin cemetery.
