Adamson, who joined San Diego Electric Railway Co. in 1930 as a street car operator, died Saturday in his home, 4355 Summit Drive, La Mesa. He had been ill several months. He was a native of Hartville, Mo.
He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 35; the Scottish Rite bodies; the San Diego Transit System Trowel Club, an organization of employees who are Masons, and a charter member of the Personnel Management Association of San Diego.
Survivors are his widow, May; a son, Sherman E. Jr., and two granddaughters, all of La Mesa; four sisters, and a brother.
The family requests contributions to the American Cancer Society.
