Maurice "Moe" Tucker, 82, of N. Syracuse, passed away on Friday at home with his family. The most important thing in his life was the love he had for his family. He was very proud of his son and three grandsons. He was last employed at Carrier Corp. as a machine operator and an inspector. He was very proud of his perfect attendance for 30 years of work. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. Moe was an avid NASCAR Fan attending the Daytona 500 for 25 years. He enjoyed NHRA Racing and belonged to the Road Aces Car Club which helped found the local ESTA Drag Strip. He drag raced his own car for close to 50 years, was still involved as a member of the board of directors and was an avid fan of Oswego Speedway for over 40 years. He was a member of the CNY Chrysler Owners Club and was very proud of the awards he received for his beloved PT Cruiser. Moe was an avid bowler and he wants everyone to have a Bud for him.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley, of 37 years; son, Gary; three grandsons, Josh, Derrike and Kyle; along with his brother, Willard of LA. He was predeceased by his brother, Donald.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse. Services will be held on Tuesday 11 a.m. from the funeral home. Burial will take place at Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay.
