Graveside funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 28 at 10 AM at Lindsay Strathmore Public Cemetery for Dorothy Jo Fetters, 77 of Exeter and formerly of Lindsay who passed away February 25. Pastor Mike Whitten will officiate and interment will follow.
Dorothy was born October 28, 1935 in Belton, Texas to Lawrence and Juanita Mitchell and after coming to California as a child with her family, she was raised and attended schools in Lindsay, graduating from Lindsay High School with the Class of 1955. Dorothy worked for various packing houses in the local area and in addition to being a loving mother and homemaker, she enjoyed crocheting, doing ceramics and decoupage. She also enjoyed camping, fishing and cooking and spending time with her family. Dorothy was also a member of the Lindsay Church of the Nazarene for many years.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Juanita. She is survived by her daughter Anita Underwood (Ronnie) of Exeter; a sister Ella Sloan (Art) of Oregon; 3 grandchildren Steven Gray (Sherri) of Porterville, Tina Andrade (Jose) of Lindsay and Kimberly Gray of Exeter; 5 great grandchildren Katlyn, Levi, Madison, Jennifer and Darsele as well as other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 27 from 2 until 7 PM at the funeral home.
Webb Sanders Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
