Elizabeth Lou McMichael Cook, 87, passed away on May 1, 2013. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 6, 2013 in Parkhill Cemetery, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd., Columbus.
Mrs. Cook was born October 23, 1925 in Buena Vista, GA to the late Lovard and John Elizabeth McMichael. She loved gardening, her family and her pets. Mrs. Cook was a retired office manager and pediatric nurse in Columbus. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Lovett Vaughn Cook, a sister, Ann Young and a brother, John Robert McMichael.
Survivors include her daughter Ann Vaughn Tilley and husband, Drake H. Tilley, Sr. of Myrtle Beach, SC; two grandchildren, Dr. Drake Hamilton Tilley, Jr., MD and Elizabeth Vaughn Tilley, Esq.; three great-grandchildren, Alejandro Drake Tilley, Sophia Tilley and Emilio Vaughn Tilley; three sisters, Marguerite Sparks of Vonore, TN, Lillian Miller, of Cusseta, GA and Martha Windham of Macon, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
