Teresa Maria Brady, 85, of the 600 block of Robens Rd., Virginia Beach, VA, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2013, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Richmond, VA, to the late Lottie and Antonio Longo, Teresa was the widow of Colonel John B. Brady, the love of her life.

She is survived by her two sons, Andrew A. Brady and wife Linda of Fort Pierce, FL and John Michael Brady of Virginia Beach, VA; a daughter, Maria Kathleen Brady and husband Paul of Virginia Beach, VA; a sister, Jeanette Bilmond of Richmond, VA; a brother, Jerry Longo of Lumberton, NJ; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Her greatest joy was her family, a beautiful kind soul, always smiling with an infectious laugh. Her passing left a hole in many hearts, though she filled more hearts than she left. She taught kindness to others and the value of integrity. There are no words for the dedicated step down east team at Virginia Beach General as they went above and beyond.

The family received friends on Tuesday evening at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel.

A funeral mass held on Wednesday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Fr. Venancio Balarote, Jr. officiating.

Burial followed in Princess Anne Memorial Park.

Please join us for a reception/reflection at St. Nicholas Catholic Church immediately following the burial.
