Ricky Lee Reed Sr., 51, of 8604 B Bull Road, Colfax, N.C., died Monday, Oct. 2, 2006.
He was born Aug. 11, 1955, in Stuart to William R. Reed and Garnett Gregory Reed of Spencer. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a sister, Doris F. Reed.
He attended Patrick County High School and Guilford Technical Community College. He was a maintenance technician and a member of the National Rifleman Association.
Surviving in addition to his mother are two sons, Ricky L. Reed Jr. of Fieldale and David W. Reed of Stuart; two sisters, Carol Sue Lunsford of Randleman, N.C. and Glynda R. Cassady of Patrick Springs; and three grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today at Collins Funeral Services chapel with Pastor Trent Wall officiating. Burial will be in Henry Memorial Park.
