Funeral service for Albert A. West, 90, of Kirbyville was held at 2:30 p.m. November 23 at Central Baptist Church with Masonic graveside rites at Kirbyville Cemetery under the direction of Causey's E. E. Stringer Funeral Home.
He died Monday at his home after an illness.
A lifelong resident of Kirbyville, he was a retired bus driver from Kirbyville Consolidated independent School District. He was a World War I veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Vadie V. Wilson West of Kirbyville; a son, Harold West of Kirbyville; four daughters, Bonice McBride and Juanice Lumpkin, both of Kirbyville; Bernice Grimes of Baytown and Mary Smith of Highlands; three sisters, Mae Buchanan and Zelma Wilson, both of Kirbyville, and Lillie Walters of Buna; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
